Our talented chefs will provide the knockout dishes and mouth-watering food; and our professional and friendly service staff will make sure your day runs smoothly and that you and your guests are provided for. We’ve got all the ingredients to make your wedding a magical day to remember!
Your wedding journey
From the very first chat, to your unique tasting experience, right up to the wedding breakfast, our friendly team will work closely with you at every step of the way—helping to advise and bring to life those little details to make the day that much more special. We take care of everything... from cutlery and glassware to tablescaping.
After your first enquiry, we'll get the ball rolling by sending you our proposal and arranging a phone call with you and your partner—to talk over those the important finer details, such as your favourite ingredients and dishes, and the logistics and timings of the day. Perhaps you'd like an evening bar to keep the festivities bubbling past sundown? Just let us know, and your wed-ding fairy godmothers will make it so!
From there, we'll provide a more fleshed-out proposal and start pulling together ideas for a truly unique menu based on your brief. Then, the real fun begins when we invite you and your partner to the Piptree kitchen in Putney for your very own tasting experience.
The taste experience
A typical tasting menu will consist of two or three canapes, two starters, two mains and one dessert, so be sure to arrive on an empty stomach!
Your tasting experience will be hosted by one of our lovely event managers, and your personal chef will get involved at the end of the session to discuss which food choices have invigorated your tastebuds. This is also a wonderful chance to meet the Piptree team and discuss all the little flourishes and extras of the date and get to the important stage of planning of your menus and the wedding in general.
The finer details
Once you’re happily onboard, we’d kindly ask for 25% deposit which will secure your date and the planning can really start.
The next step is to create a WhatsApp group with you, your event manager, and our head chef for virtual chats outside of email. This is really useful for quick questions and those niggling particulars—as well as a great platform on which to share images and voice notes. All official lines of communication will be done via email, such as confirming dietary requirements, guest numbers, timelines, and so on.
Closer to the wedding, we’ll just need a list of guests with dietary requirements, so if you could get those details when you send out your invites, that would be fabulous. We know that anything can be subject to change in the build up to the big day—timings, evening food options, menu choices for those with dietary requirements—and we’re fully prepared for those last-minute alterations. Depending on the venue, we may ask for a site visit the site, or even ask for a show around with a WhatsApp video.
On the week of your wedding, we’ll arrange another phone call to review everything in even more detail, and then it's time for the big day itself! Deliveries of equipment will be done a day or so in advance of the wedding day, so nothing is left to chance. At this stage, we’ll ask for a point of contact for the event—the best man or one of the ushers, perhaps—to help your event manager ensure that things are running to plan and we are not bothering you on the day!
On the day, we will arrive with plenty of time to spare—to make sure there are no last-minute surprises and prepare everything ready for you and your guests' arrival.
You will have a dedicated event manager on the day who will manage the timings, service and other details you may need, such as gift coordination, seating and tables, and the speeches…all the while ensuring that your day runs as smoothly as possible.
Then it's time to relax and enjoy the party!
